Abstract

The content of Conifers in the World Flora Online was updated with taxonomic and nomenclatural data supplied by Philip Thomas. The family level classification for the conifers in WFO is based on Yang et al 2022 which includes all conifers and gnetophytes in Class Pinopsida, with three subclasses: Cupressidae, Pinidae and Gnetidae. The updated version of Conifers (Araucariaceae, Cupressaceae, Ginkgoaceae, Pinaceae, Podocarpaceae, Sciadopityaceae and Taxaceae) includes around 647 accepted species and almost 3000 synonyms and their references.
